ICYMI: Councilman Dave Martin Hosts Kingwood Town Hall March 6

City Council Member Dave Martin will host a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, March 6, at 6:00 p.m., at the Kingwood Community Center.

HOUSTON, TX — City Council Member Dave Martin will host a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., at the Kingwood Community Center, 4102 Rustic Woods Drive, Kingwood, Texas 77345.

Residents are invited to hear from city and community representatives about future capital improvement projects, local issues and community news related to the Kingwood/Lake Houston area of District E.

In addition to discussing CIP projects, post-Harvey updates will be provided from various departments and local agencies.

This spring's Town Hall Meeting will include a special presentation from Mayor sSylvester Turner in addition to post-Harvey updates from Niel Golightly with the Chief Recovery Office and from Chief Resiliency Officer Stephen Costello.

State Senator Brandon Creighton and State Representative Dan Huberty have been invited to provide updates from the state level.

Houston Public Works (HPW) Director Carol Haddock will also be providing an update on behalf of the HPW Department and Floodplain Management Office.

District E staff has coordinated to have representatives from HPW available to answer questions and work with residents regarding Substantial Damage Letters as well as the Proposed Changes to Chapter 19.

Additionally, Harris County Flood Control District will brief residents on upcoming assessments and projects within the major drainage channels in and around Kingwood.

Mark Micheletti will provide updates from the Lake Houston Area Long Term Recovery Task Force. Lastly, Council Member Martin has invited Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) 10 Chairman, Stan Sarman, to present an update on the Northpark Drive Expansion Project.
