The areas of Humble and Kingwood were among the hardest hit areas during five days of unrelenting rain from Hurricane Harvey, and dam releases at Lake Conroe that flooded caused the San Jacinto River to breach its banks and flood homes in the area.

In response to the widespread flooding, Insperity partnered with the Lake Houston Chamber of Commerce, Somebody Cares Humble, Humble Area Assistance Ministries and several other entities to help the Lake Houston area recover.

Businesses and residents affected by the flooding are eligible to receive grants, provided they can prove they live or have a business in any of these communities:

  • Humble
  • Kingwood
  • Summerwood
  • Atascocita
  • Fall Creek

Those affected in these areas must also prove they have been working with FEMA and their insurance carrier.

Once the affected homeowner or business is approved for grant funding, then a payment can be sent to third party vendors, such as a mortgage or utility company.
