Kingwood Offers Up Scavenger Hunt As New Year’s Day Tradition
The prizes will be from local businesses, such as Mister Tint, Bike Werks, and Showbiz 14 - Cinemas.

KINGWOOD, TX -- What better way to celebrate the arrival of 2017 than with a scavenger hunt. Residents in Kingwood are invited to take part in the 3rd Annual Kingwood Greenbelt Scavenger Hunt that will will be held Sunday, Jan. 1 at the greenbelts in Woodland Hills and Trailwood Villages subdivisions.
Kingwood residents are invited to rediscover greenbelts by encouraging families to take a moment to enjoy a walk, jog or bike ride on New Year's Day.
Visit the Greenbelt on New Year's Day at 12 p.m., first come first served; look for a numbered token and there will be more than 100 tokens are plastic lids with New Year's Day Treasure Hunt inscribed, placed on the paved Greenbelt only – for safety reasons, and to be redeemed at Bike Werks, at 1580 Kingwood Dr., on Monday, Jan. 2, at 2 p.m.

Most everyone collecting tokens should receive a prize. Any remaining or unclaimed prizes will be awarded to anyone visiting Bike Werks after 2 p.m. Monday.
The prizes will be from local businesses, such as Mister Tint at 1413 North Park Drive, Bike Werks, Showbiz 14 - Cinemas, Papa John's Pizza, Wendy's, Fuddrucker's, Pei Wei, Sharky's and Chick-Fil-A.

This is a nonprofit activity for Kingwood residents, families and children.
Aside from the New Year’s Day scavenger hunt, Kingwood residents can also enjoy treasure hunts later in the year on April Fool’s Day, Independents Day and Halloween.
