Man Arrested After Allegedly Punching Deputy Constable In The Face

Deputy was responding to a family disturbance call when he was repeatedly punched and threatened: Police.

HUMBLE, TX — An 18-year old man is behind bars after he punched a deputy constable’s in the face who was responding to a domestic disturbance call on Sunday.

Deputies said when they got to the home, they found Zachary Lester, 18, was involved in a physical fight with another family member.

As the deputy tried to intervene and detain Lester, deputies said Lester hit the deputyseveral times in the face.

The deputy was eventually able to place Lester in Handcuffs without further incident, but when he was escorting Lester to the patrol car, Lester allegedly made several verbal threats to the deputy, including repeatedly threatening to kill the deputy the next time he saw him on the street.

Zachary Lester was arrested, charged with Assault on a Public Servant and Retaliation and booked into the Harris County Jail. His bond was set at $20,000.00 for each charge out of the 178th district court.
