Man Hit On FM 1960 In Humble While Trying To Touch Moving Vehicles

Police: Man was standing in the middle of the road when he was hit by an 81-year old woman on her way to work.

KINGWOOD, TX — A 30-year old man is in critical condition after he was hit by a car on FM 1960 and E. Lake Houston Parkway in northeast Houston Friday morning.

The accident happened at about 4:30 a.m. when the man, who witnesses said was standing in the roadway, was hit by a car driving by an 81-year old woman who was on her way to work. Investigators said the man may have been in the street trying to touch passing cars, according to a Houston Chronicle report.

The man, who has not been identified, was taken by LifeFlight to Memorial Hermann Hospital with severe injuries and is listed in critical condition, police said.

The woman who hit the pedestrian was not charged and was not injured.
