Man Missing After Kayak Overturns In Lake Houston

A dive team was dispatched after a man, who was fishing with several friends, went into the water when his boat overturned: Police

ATASCOCITA, TX — Dive crews and emergency personnel are searching for a missing man after his kayak capsized in Lake Houston early Saturday.

Officials said three men were fishing in the kayak on Lake Houston at about 3 a.m., when it overturned.

Two of the men were able to swim to shore, but a third man was unaccounted for, according to a KTRK report.

A dive team was called to the area to help officials with the Houston Police and Houston firefighters who were searching with boats.

Officials set up a command center at FM 1960 near the boat ramp in Atascocita, KPRC reported.
