Massive Entertainment Venue Coming To Humble

HUMBLE, TX -- A 30,000-square foot entertainment venue is on pace for its grand opening in early 2017.

The White Lightning Dancehall and Saloon will open in Fall Brook at Beltway 8 and Wilson Road in January, and will feature a 2.700 dance floor, with a raised VIP seating area, a DJ booth and a stage where they hope to feature popular music acts.

Jenna Armstrong, president of the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce, talked about the new venue during the Summer Creek BizCom meeting on Dec. 8.

"Something that we hear from businesses day-in and day-out is the ability to attract and retain young talent, which is a problem businesses in the Lake Houston area face," she said. "We have a great area for families, but we need more for the younger workers in our area. We want to provide a sense of place for our residents and employees."

The dancehall will be part of a larger 30,000-square foot complex that will include a shopping center, a Southern-style eatery that serves comfort food and wild-game hotdogs, Republic House that will include a cigar lounge and serve craft beer and a Huckleberry’s barbershop.

The multi-dimensional entertainment complex will be located at 9522 North Sam Houston Pkwy. E Suite 2400 in Humble.
