Police Search For Robber Who Hit 2 Kingwood Stores

Police are looking for a man who tried to rob the Kroger store on Northpark Blvd, and then went and robbed a Walgreens a few minute later.

KINGWOOD, TX — Houston police have released a surveillance photo of a man wanted for two business robberies in Kingwood on Jan. 7.

The robber is described only as a white male, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 120 to 150 pounds.

He was wearing sunglasses, a black hooded sweatshirt and pants.

The first robbery happened at the Kroger Store at 3410 Northpark Drive about 1 p.m. when the man walked over to the customer service booth, demanded money and showed a black pistol from his waistband.

When the employee told the suspect she had to call her manager, the suspect left the store without any money.

The second robbery happened about 1:40 p.m. at the Walgreens at 1210 Kingwood Drive when the same man walked into the store, demanded money and showed a gun to an employee at the cash register.

When the suspect placed a black bag on the counter, the employee gave him an undetermined amount of money from the cash register and the robber walked out of the store.
