Missing 15-Year Old Highlands Boy Found Safe [UPDATE]
Andrew Hays was found safe a few miles from his home Friday morning, after officials said he took a kayak on the San Jacinto River.

(Updated) HIGHLANDS, TX — Police and Texas EquuSearch have found a 15-year old Highlands boy who went missing Thursday.
Officials found Andrew Hays safe at a location a few miles from his home at about 10:30 Friday morning.
According to Harris County Sheriff's deputies, Andrew Hays ran away from home, KTRK reported.

Andrew Hays was last seen on Sept 28 by some of his friends at the bus stop that morning, and allegedly told friends he was not going to school that day, KPRC reported.

Officials discovered his 8-foot Pelican kayak on the banks of the San Jacinto River on Friday morning, but have not found Hays, according to a KTRK report.
It is unknown what type, style or color of clothing that Andrew was wearing.
Andrew has a small scar on the right side of his lip, has short black hair, blue eyes, is 5’7” tall and weighs 145 pounds.
