Son Witnesses Dad’s Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Man was riding his new motorcycle, and his son was following him, when the accident happened: Police

HUFFMAN, TX — A man was killed late Friday night while taking his new motorcycle for a ride on FM 2100.

The accident happened at about 10:45 p.m.at FM 2100 and Beckman Road in northeast Harris County.

Harris County Sheriff’s deputies said the man was riding his new motorcycle at a high rate of speed and veered off the road at a curve, the Houston Chronicle reported. Harris County Deputy S. Wolverton said the driver hit the side of a ditch after missing the curve and was thrown from motorcycle.

The man was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital.

The man’s son was driving behind his father and witnessed the accident, deputies said.

Alcohol is not believed to have contributed to the accident.

The crash is under investigation.
