During the project drivers should expect intermittent delays in the area. To ensure driver and worker safety, traffic control measures will be in place on site including traffic barrels, traffic cones, directional signage and flagmen.
The District E office has also contacted the Houston Police Department's Kingwood substation to ask that officers can monitor the location and provide assistance with traffic control as needed.
Public Works and Engineering will be using a polymer-injection procedure to complete these repairs which is effective on pavement that has subsided or that has experienced some degree of faulting.
These injections fill voids in the subgrade and can lift panels to their original heights. Additional maintenance procedures may also include small repairs with asphalt.
