Woman Charged With DWI In Fatal Auto Accident

HUMBLE , TX — Charges have been filed against a 55-year old Houston woman who hit and killed a man on Christmas Eve.

Maria Hernandez-Rosales, 55, as arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated in a fatal auto-pedestrian that happened at about 7p.m. in the 9800 block of Mesa Dr.

Investigators said the 59-year old victim, whose identity has not been released, was crossing the street outside of the crosswalk when he was hit by a Nissan Rogue that was driven by Hernandez-Rosales.

The man was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Hernandez-Rosales, was subsequently arrested at the scene and charged of driving while intoxicated.
