- Mark your calendars to celebrate African heritage and ancestry with the 16th Annual DanceAfrica performances and free festival October 1 and 2. This year's event pays special tribute to Haiti. Attendees can enjoy physically-distanced seating at Moody Hall in Dallas, with seating available for purchase in blocks of two or three. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
- A pickup truck hit a pedestrian in the roadway near Dallas Love Field early Tuesday morning, killing the pedestrian. The accident took place in the 6800 block of Herb Kelleher Way around 1:30 AM. Police have not identified the driver or the deceased. (WFAA.com)
- Possible good news if you're looking to purchase an affordable home in the area sometime soon! S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Index reports that home prices in the Dallas-Plano-Irving Metro area home prices flatlined— neither went up nor down— between May and June this year. They're still up over 16 percent since summer 2020 prices, though. Nationally, prices increased 1.8 percent between May and June 2021. (Patch)
