Here are the top stories today in Irving:
- A local car thief may face additional charges of dog-napping. Officers responded to a call about an unattended vehicle in Grand Prairie Wednesday evening. When they arrived on the scene, they discovered the car was occupied by a golden retriever. The owner had reported the car missing from a Fort Worth restaurant, so police were quickly able to reunite the pet with its owner. The theft is still under investigation. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
- Important news for transit riders: DART is changing up its bus route networks. The changes are still pending, with the transportation agency inviting public feedback during this period. The finalized routes should go into effect in January 2022. Click over to get the details! (CultureMap Dallas)
- Get a look at the new DFW Airport Terminal C gates at FOX 4 Dallas. The prefabricated modules total around 42,000 square feet with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that will give awaiting passengers a view of the runway. The efforts are part of a bigger $2 billion overhaul of Terminal C.
