Here are the top stories today in Irving:

  1. A local car thief may face additional charges of dog-napping. Officers responded to a call about an unattended vehicle in Grand Prairie Wednesday evening. When they arrived on the scene, they discovered the car was occupied by a golden retriever. The owner had reported the car missing from a Fort Worth restaurant, so police were quickly able to reunite the pet with its owner. The theft is still under investigation. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
  2. Important news for transit riders: DART is changing up its bus route networks. The changes are still pending, with the transportation agency inviting public feedback during this period.   3. Get a look at the new DFW Airport Terminal C gates at FOX 4 Dallas. The prefabricated modules total around 42,000 square feet with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that will give awaiting passengers a view of the runway. The efforts are part of a bigger $2 billion overhaul of Terminal C.
  4. Dallas County reports 20 new COVID-19 deaths and 1,519 cases. (The Dallas Morning News)
