Here are the top stories in Irving today:
- The Grand Prairie Independent School District acted swiftly upon news of an accusation of a teacher's indecency. Matthew Ramos, who taught at the Young Women's Leadership Academy School, is being investigated for inappropriate conduct with a student. The district was notified of the investigation on October 22, and the teacher in question has not been on campus since. Find out more at Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
- Get ready for some new folks around town! DFW Airport is preparing for the return of international passengers from 33 countries. Starting Monday, airports throughout the country can start accepting vaccinated tourists from specific countries. The boost will surely be welcome: sources report that international travel is down 40 percent since 2019 due to the pandemic. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
- The local food truck community is mourning two of their own. Marta Rivas and Elvira Fuentes were killed Wednesday after their commercial food truck left the road along Loop 12 Walton Walker Boulevard and hit a guard rail underneath I-30.
