🌱Hawco Drive Apartment Fire Investigated + DFW Flights Suspended

Happy Wednesday, Irving! Let's get you all caught up on what's happening locally to start today off on an informed note.

First, today's weather:

Cooler; breezy in the afternoon. High: 59 Low: 26.

Here are the top five stories in Irving today:

  1. The Grand Prairie fire department is continuing its arson investigation of the apartment fire that occurred last week in the 2600 block of Hawco Drive. Sixteen units were affected by smoke, flames and water used in fighting the blaze, but luckily no injuries. The City of Grand Prairie is requesting anyone with information regarding the fire to make contact. (Focusdailynews)
  2. The City of Irving reports an increase in sanitary sewer overflows. To help do your part, check out the agency's list of helpful hints to show some love to your plumbing and prevent clogs, available via the Press Release Desk.
  3. Does 5G affect airplane communication and navigation? The jury is still out. Amidst the uncertainty, the Dubai-based airline Emirates has suspended flights to the DFW Airport. Get the whole story at The Dallas Morning News (subscription required).
