Here are the top five stories today in Irving:
- Police have identified the body found in Lake Carolyn on Friday, Feb. 18. Investigators say the man was 63-year-old Leland Barron. They believe Barron died by suicide but are continuing to seek information surrounding the death. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
- More cold weather is upon Irving, with a winter weather advisory in effect until Thursday evening. Irving Golf Club is closing its doors temporarily in preparation for the dropping temperatures, with staff taking measures such as covering the greens to protect them from freeze damage. The club is set to reopen on Feb. 26. (Press Release Desk)
- Click over to the City of Irving website to get a recap of the Feb. 8 Irving Boulevard Reconstruction Stakeholder Meeting. A contractor completed the installation of a stormwater pipe east of Delaware Creek and will commence with the section of pipe west of Delaware Creek within the next month. The next stakeholders' meeting is scheduled for March 8.
