Here are the top stories in Irving today:
- The hostage situation on Saturday at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville has led North Texas Police departments to increase security at synagogues and other Jewish sites. Police began to clear the scene just before 10:00 PM that evening. The suspect was reported dead, but all hostages were able to leave the scene without injury. Agencies are reporting no known threats to other congregations. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
- Things may have been a little noisier in the area on Saturday evening. The City of Irving released a statement regarding increased airport noise because of weather conditions at DFW. - Dallas College will soon host the tuition-free Bezos Academy preschool.
