- Learn more about the long-awaited revamp of downtown Irving over at the Press Release Desk. The $22.2 million project is scheduled to start November 15 (next week!) and will continue through July. Set to affect a one-mile stretch of Irving Boulevard, the project will include infrastructure improvements as well as enhanced lighting and beautification aspects, according to the Irving-Los Colinas Chamber of Commerce.

- Good news for the local housing market: Oak Cliff will soon have a new mixed-housing community. The three-acre lot on South Beckley Avenue will feature nearly 200 affordable housing units as well as 46 market-rate units.
