🌱'SHERWOOD' Opens At Arts Center + On Stage Series Begins Today

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Irving.

Hey, people of Irving! It's me again, Ash DeMello, your host of the Irving Daily.

First, today's weather:

A little wintry mix. High: 41 Low: 28.

Here are the top five stories in Irving today:

  1. A 29-year-old woman has died after a crash on Interstate 20 in Arlington, police say. The woman exited her lane, crossed all other lanes of traffic and hit a concrete bridge pillar, according to the report. The tragic incident occurred on Wednesday around 11:30 p.m. No other injuries were reported. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)
  2. The iconic granite Williams Square Plaza sign is now in place. The sign has been in place since the plaza opened, but project managers of the Williams Square renovation decided it needed a more high-profile spot. The new spot will allow visitors to read the text on the back of the gigantic blocks. Check out footage at the City of Irving's news release.
  3. A section of the Campion Trail will be closed beginning March 14. The closure will accommodate repairs by the Trinity River Authority. The section is adjacent to the Irving Golf Club, between Mountain Creek Preserve and Trinity View Park. (City of Irving)
  4. Looking to relocate or invest? Take a gander at two new Irving-area properties on the market via the Irving Patch.
  5. Find out more about the exhibit of Michaelangelo's Sistine Chapel at the Irving Mall via a Nextdoor post from the City of Irving's Communications Department.
