🌱Ukrainian Refugees Arrival Likely In May + Second Sunday Funday

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Irving.

Hey, Irving! It's Sunday, so let's get you started with everything you need to know going on in town today.

First, today's weather:

Sunlit; breezy in the p.m. High: 66 Low: 48.

Here are the top five stories today in Irving:

  1. Two Arlington restaurants closed after inspections recently, reports James Hartley. Latina Restaurant and Drive Through shuttered temporarily to deal with a pest infestation. A Subway was cited for lack of hot water and inadequate food handling training. Both have since reopened. (Fort Worth Star-Telegram)
  2. Over two million Ukrainians have fled their home country following the Putin-led invasion, and sources reveal that a significant number of them could soon call North Texas home. One expert says refugees may start arriving as soon as April. (Patch)
  3. Have you met Arlo? The Air North Texas mascot helps share information related to air quality. Click over to Irving Weekly to discover the various meanings behind the appearance of the adorable (and helpful!) armadillo's shell.
