🌱 Winter Storm Watch + Non-Injury Apartment Fire On Rainier St.

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Irving.

First, today's weather:

Bundle up, ya'll. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect through 6:00 PM today. Look forward to sleet and snow. High: 26 Low: 19.


Here are the top five stories in Irving today:

  1. Get the latest on Dallas Winter Storm Watch 2022 from D Magazine. Schools preemptively closing Thursday and Friday include Arlington ISD, Irving ISD and Grand Prairie ISD. Click over to this link to locate warming shelters throughout the area. And don't forget to check on pets, pipes, plants and (most importantly) elderly neighbors.
  2. Firefighters were able to control a fire at apartments on Rainier Street in Irving before anyone was injured. The blaze broke out early Wednesday morning. The fire department says 11 emergency vehicles responded. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
