• Livingston's Akers finishes 4th at Jacksonville College Invitational (kltv.com) — A strong showing by Jacksonville College golfers at Cherokee Ranch Golf Club put the hometown team second overall, with freshman Brayden Akers tying for fourth individually. Several East Texas players from nearby towns also posted solid scores, and Jacksonville College now turns its focus to the Fall Aggie Invitational in Oklahoma on October 13.
