• City of Kilgore announces construction schedule for Richards Estates area (kilgorenewsherald.com) — Major utility and street upgrades are about to begin in Kilgore's Richards Estates area, affecting Looney Avenue, Dogwood Trail, and Ash Lane from early October through March 2027. Expect phased work on sewer, water, drainage, and roadways, with traffic impacts and changing schedules depending on weather and materials. City officials urge caution around work zones and promise ongoing updates.
• Kilgore's Graves scores touchdown in Texas State win (kltv.com) — A former Kilgore Bulldog, freshman receiver La'Keyleon Graves, scored his first college touchdown in Texas State's 63–10 win over UIW, sprinting 49 yards after a short pass. He added two tackles on defense, while several other East Texas players contributed tackles and receptions as Texas State and UIW both moved to 2–2 on the season.
