• Mentors Honored at LGISD Board Meeting (fayettecountyrecord.com) — La Grange ISD’s mentor program has grown from just four volunteers to 16 community members now working with students across the district. Mentors were recently honored at a school board meeting, and the district is inviting more locals to get involved by contacting the administration office if they’re interested in supporting students. 
• La Grange Band Earns Top Honors at 51st Annual Blinn Buccaneer Marching Festival (fayettecountyrecord.com) — La Grange High School’s marching band just brought home top overall honors and best percussion from the Blinn Buccaneer Marching Festival in Brenham, a strong sign heading into UIL competition. The event gave local students valuable feedback from experienced judges and a look at Blinn’s collegiate band opportunities.
