• Lakeway City Park improvements take shape (communityimpact.com) — Lakeway residents are starting to see progress from the 2024 parks bond, with a $10.6 million overhaul of Lakeway City Park now in design. Plans include a new vehicle loop, pedestrian trail, skate park, pump track, pickleball courts, and relocated dog park, following earlier improvements at the Activity Center and groundbreaking for Butler Rough Hollow Park.
   

• Travis County DA Fails To Appear for Hearing on Prosecutorial Integrity (texasscorecard.com) — Lakeway’s state representative Ellen Troxclair sharply criticized Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza’s office during a House oversight hearing after Garza declined to appear. Lawmakers questioned his team’s missed indictment deadlines, outside influence from advocacy groups, and broader prosecutorial decisions, while state leaders floated ideas like a statewide prosecutor to intervene when local DAs are seen as falling short.
