• 2 men shot outside Lewisville restaurant, suspect arrested (fox4news.com) — Lewisville police arrested a suspect after two men were shot Sunday evening in a restaurant parking lot off State Highway 121 Business; both victims are expected to survive. Investigators used Flock cameras, security video, and witness accounts to identify the suspect, and they're still asking anyone who saw what happened to contact the Lewisville Police Department with additional information.
   

• Lawmakers added $1 to Texans' car insurance policies. The money paid for thousands of Flock cameras. (texarkanagazette.com) — Texans are paying an extra $1 on car insurance that has helped fund thousands of Flock license plate cameras statewide, including systems that can track vehicles driven by Lewisville residents. Local Rep. Mitch Little and other lawmakers now question whether this vast surveillance network violates privacy rights, as the governor temporarily pauses some state funding amid growing misuse concerns.
