• Liberty County Jail restoration moves closer to completion (bluebonnetnews.com) — Liberty residents are seeing major progress on restoring the existing Liberty County Jail on Beaumont Avenue, even as the county continues sending inmates to other facilities due to limited space. Work on exhaust systems, doors, cameras, intercoms, and cells is advancing, while a larger new jail near the Law Enforcement Center in Liberty is being built to meet long-term needs and potentially generate revenue by leasing extra bed space.
