• Llano River reached flood levels Thursday night into Friday morning (click2houston.com) — Flooding along the Llano River overnight briefly pushed water to 12 feet, but levels dropped below flood stage by early Friday morning, though a flood warning remains in effect until Friday afternoon. Local officials say residents should stay cautious around low-water crossings as LCRA opened Starke Dam floodgates to move water downstream, recalling how much worse the devastating 2018 flood was for Llano.
   

• Flood threat continues across San Antonio, Hill Country as more rain expected through the weekend (tpr.org) — Llano residents should be aware that a flood warning is in effect for the Llano River at Llano through Friday evening, with moderate flooding expected as more rain falls. The wider region, including San Antonio and the Hill Country, could see several additional inches of rain, prompting road closures, low-water crossing barricades, and continued flash-flood risks into the weekend.
   

• Floydada Native Joe Faulkenberry Named AgriLife Extension Agriculture Agent in Llano County (floydcountyrecord.com) — Llano County is getting a new Texas A&M AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent, Floydada native Joe Faulkenberry, who brings more than 35 years of livestock and ranching experience. He says he’s eager to partner with local producers, offering education, resources, and 4-H support aimed at strengthening agriculture and improving quality of life for Llano County residents.
