Lubbock veteran and wife searching for new beginning after fire destroys their RV (kcbd.com) — A Lubbock Marine Corps veteran and his wife are rebuilding after a stove fire destroyed their RV home at Lubbock RV Park on I-27, injuring him with second-degree burns. Their dog survived, and the South Plains Marine Corps League has launched a fundraiser to help cover his recovery and replace essential items as they start over.

4. ‘Big Wheels deliver meals' to homebound Lubbock residents (kcbd.com) — Lubbock Meals on Wheels just teamed up with local leaders for the “Big Wheels Deliver Meals” day, bringing Sonic hamburgers and friendly faces to more than a thousand homebound residents. The nonprofit, which runs 81 routes daily without government funding, is urgently seeking more volunteer drivers and donations so it can keep serving isolated seniors and disabled neighbors across Lubbock.
