Here are the top stories today in McKinney-Frisco:
- The City of Frisco will be getting nearly $650,000 in grants to support its police and fire departments. Acceptance of the grants was unanimously approved by the Frisco City Council last week. The majority of the awards (over $400,000) will provide funding for specialized police personnel in the mental health and domestic violence programs. - On Saturday, Nov. 13 from 12 to 6 p.m., historic downtown McKinney is hosting a Wild West Wine Walk. Local vintners Lone Star Wine Cellars, Landon Winery, and 4R Ranch & Winery will be offering tastes of their hand-selected wines. A $30 general admission ticket gets you a souvenir wine glass, tastes of 12 wines, and admission to the GO TEXAN vendor market. (PaperCity Magazine)
