The Comedy Arena

An entirely improvised Shakespearean comedy created live from audience suggestions. Every performance becomes a brand-new tale of doomed romance, royal betrayal, mistaken identity, sword fights, ghosts, dramatic monologues, and far too many unnecessary deaths. No script. No plan. Just a reckless troupe of players attempting to improvise a Shakespeare play before your very eyes. The Play’s The Thing. The Thing’s Made Up.
Attend, good people, if thou darest tonight, To witness actors feigning Shakespeare right. No script exists, no ending has been planned, Yet still our players charge forth bold and grand. From audience suggestion springs the tale: A cursed romance, a monarch doomed to fail, A ghost, a swordfight, two mistaken twins, And someone dying for their lover’s sins. With wit alone our reckless troupe proceeds, Through royal schemes and wildly overdone deeds. Each scene improvised before thine very eyes, With lofty verse and beautifully bad disguises. Expect doomed love, betrayals, crowns, and gore, Plus several deaths that were not there before. For every show’s entirely born anew No Bard alive could guess what we shall do. So join us now for comedy absard: Where all is made up… yet spoken like the Bard.
THE COMEDY ARENA'S Main Stage is located on the second floor, on the northwest corner of Hwy 5 and Virginia St. The main entrance is on the first floor, on Virginia St. There is an elevator at the rear of the building as well as a staircase both inside and outside of the building.
ENTERING &amp; SEATING The House typically opens 30 minutes before showtime. Seats are only guaranteed until showtime. Ticket price may be more expensive at the door (if any remain). All seating is based on size of party and when guests arrive at the show. We have cabaret style seating, so small tables with chairs around them. Most of our tables seat 4 people. If your group is smaller you may be sitting with another group, if it is larger you will have multiple tables next to each other. To ensure a whole table to your group, you need to buy 4 tickets.

Dez O’Neal Dez O'Neal was dubbed the "Funniest Comic In Texas" out of 500 contestants! He also was a Top 3 Finalist in the 2020 San Diego comedy festival and was jus the winner of the 2021 Fort Wayne World Series of comedy.Dez O'Neal also known as the DOC, the funny doctor living the mantra that laughter works just as good as medicine, is a (Dallas) DFW Stand-Up Comedian introduced to the arts via acting/theatre. Three years ago, he took his naturally humorous personality and his theatre training to the stage as a Stand-Up Comedian, and has built and building a supportive following based off his comedic prowess.
Shawn Lee Shawn Lee is a clean, witty comedian with a knack for weaving humor into everyday experiences. All the way from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and now based in Dallas, Texas, Shawn brings a unique perspective to the stage.
