Here are the top stories today in McKinney-Frisco:

  1. The second phase of the 30-acre park and trail system at Frisco Station is now complete. Canyon East connects to The Bend, a 1.3-acre park, and brings an additional acre of trails and parks to the 242-acre mixed-use project, which is located along the Dallas North Tollway and John Hickman Parkway. The completion of this phase coincided with the opening of The Cadence at Frisco Station, a luxury apartment home community located at 4160 Gridiron Road. (Community Impact Newspaper)
  2. Raytheon Intelligence & Space is expanding and upgrading its McKinney campus. The company recently opened a 178,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and announced plans to build a new factory in McKinney, Texas. These projects are expected to create a collective 1,200 new local jobs. (Area Development Online)
  3. Frisco's own five-star wide receiver Evan Stewart has decided to forego the rest of his senior season at Frisco Liberty as he is “mentally and physically preparing” himself for the college football level. (Longhorns Wire)
  4. Two Senoritas Mexican Restaurant and Cantina has announced a delay in its McKinney opening and says the 1222 N. Central Expressway location will now open in the third week of October. (Community Impact Newspaper)
