City Of McKinney: McKinney Greens Neighborhood Park Design Input

City of McKinney Parks and Recreation Survey

City of McKinney Parks & Recreation Department is asking for input on the design of a new 4.7-acre neighborhood park (shown below in red) located off Stewart Road in the McKinney Greens neighborhood. North of the 4.7 acres is land not currently owned by the city and will not be included in the park design. The 73-acre parcel, formerly known as the Greens of McKinney Golf Course (shown below in blue), is to be developed and included in the updated master plan for Towne Lake Park. The design and construction of the 4.7-acre neighborhood park will begin once public input has been received.

In 2017, residents provided public input, which has been used as inspiration for two conceptual plans for the neighborhood park. Both plans include walking paths, parking, playgrounds and a shade structure. Plan A shows the pond in place and Plan B shows the pond being filled in.
