  • Establish school zones and parking restricted areas in public right-of-way
  • Designate crosswalks and paid crossing guard locations
  • Install and maintain traffic controls (signs, striping, flashing lights, etc.)
  • Designate safe walking routes to elementary schools

McKinney, Allen, Frisco, Melissa & Prosper ISD

  • Hire and train crossing guards
  • Provide on-site security and safety measures
  • The City of McKinney and McKinney ISD, Allen ISD, Frisco ISD, Melissa ISD and Prosper ISD work closely during the planning stages for new schools to address issues like traffic circulation, pedestrian routes and locations of crosswalks.

McKinney ISD School Zone Times

  • Elementary schools from 7:15 - 8:15 a.m. and from 2:45 - 3:45 p.m.
  • Middle schools from 8 - 9 a.m. and from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
  • High schools from 6:45 - 7:45 a.m. and from 2:15 - 3:15 p.m.

Allen ISD School Zone Times

  • Elementary schools from 7:05 - 8:05 a.m. and from 2:45 - 3:45 p.m.

Frisco ISD School Zone Times

  • Elementary schools from 7 - 8 a.m. and from 2:50 - 3:50 p.m.
  • Middle schools from 7:40 - 8:40 a.m. and from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m.
  • High school from 8:15 - 9:15 a.m. and from 4:10 - 5:10 p.m.

Melissa ISD School Zone Times

  • Elementary school from 7 - 8 a.m. and from 3 - 4 p.m.

Prosper ISD School Zone Times

  • Elementary schools from 7 - 8 a.m. and from 2:35 - 3:35 p.m.
  • High school from 7:40 - 8:40 a.m. and from 4 - 4:40 p.m.
