Multiple incumbent officials will be running to keep their current seats, but plenty of newcomers are in the mix as well. - A new sewer transfer pipeline project is set to begin along Wilson Creek in early 2022. McKinney City Manager Paul Grimes said the project is crucial to continue meeting the growing needs of McKinney and Prosper, but residents should prepare for construction-related disruptions in the area. While city officials are trying to mitigate some of the impacts, "it's definitely not going to be pleasant," said Grimes, who urges McKinney to be patient during the project.
