Empowering Effects of Faith — Focus of New Feature Film
McKinney / Frisco Residents will enjoy new feature film "Daniel: A Lifetime of Faith"
McKinney/Frisco — August 16, 2021 — As his nation is conquered and his family divided, Daniel faces intensifying pressure to abandon his convictions. Will his faith survive? Millions around the world will watch the drama unfold in the two-part feature film "Daniel: A Lifetime of Faith" ("Daniel: A Lifetime of Faith"- Part 2) being presented at the 2021 "Powerful by Faith!" Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses.
The historical Bible film illustrates how faith can empower individuals to face and endure life's challenges with courage. Bible dramas have been a highlight of the annual conventions of Jehovah's Witness for many decades. This year is no different, even as the organization shifted to a virtual format.
“The Bible dramas are always one of my favorite parts of the convention,” explained John Smith of Dallas, Texas. “There are so many practical lessons that can be learned in the Bible and seeing these come to life on screen is very impactful. It helps me to imagine myself in the same circumstances and really understand and remember the lesson. I can’t wait to watch the story of Daniel.”

The “Powerful by Faith!” Convention is being delivered over virtual platforms in over 500 languages to households in 240 lands during July and August 2021. For Jehovah’s Witnesses, who have held in-person events annually in stadiums, arenas, convention centers, and theaters around the world since 1897, the pandemic has brought a pause to a century-old tradition. The continued risk of bringing thousands of people together in cities across the globe prompted the world’s largest convention organization to cancel nearly 6,000 events worldwide and opt for a virtual program for the second consecutive year. The move, however, has not curbed the enthusiasm for the annual convention which is expected to unite 15-20 million people globally.
