Here are the top three stories today in McKinney-Frisco:

  1. Two McKinney-based nonprofit organizations have joined forces to launch a new program called 'Feeding Friends and Families'. The new program is a low/no-touch drive-thru meant to provide much-needed food to local families at no cost to them. Food will be distributed on Jan. 26 at 3:00 PM at MISD Stadium. The food boxes will contain nuts, dried fruit, dairy, and shelf-stable items. (Press Release Desk)
  2. A Theatre Frisco performer and director has been named North Texas Performing Arts' new Director of Education. Preston Page will oversee the day-to-day operations with the current Head of School. Page has an extensive resume of working with children's theaters and school districts across North Texas.   3. McKinney Independent School District has updated its COVID-19 policy in accordance with Texas Education Agency direction. The isolation period for staff members who test positive for COVID has been changed from ten days to five days. Collin County Health Care Services still recommends individuals wear a mask after the five-day isolation period. (Press Release Desk)
