- McKinney Fire Department Captain Jared Turner has been selected to serve on Governor Greg Abbott's Emergency Medical Services Committee, which is part of the Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Advisory Council. The Council recommends improvement to the EMS and trauma system to provide comprehensive and efficient emergency care. Turner's year-long term will begin in February 2022. - Frisco startup InspectIR Systems is raising millions in funding as it offers a "breathalyzer for COVID-19."
