Here are the top three stories in McKinney-Frisco today:

  1. Monday night's flash flooding led to multiple, late-night water rescues in McKinney, according to fire officials. Two people were rescued from McKinney's Towne Lake Park after the rising water of Wilson Creek swept their vehicle off the road. A total of four people were brought to safety in three separate incidents. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported, as per McKinney's fire chief. (NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)
  2. Teachers at Frisco ISD's Independence High School are letting students lead the way in hands-on joint courses. Students in an advanced biology course are given basic information, then set out to explore and find the missing data for themselves. According to teacher Kristi Schloblocher, "It's been great [because] we've been able to hold their attention a lot longer [...] they're actually having to look at the world around them, instead of reading it on a PowerPoint."(NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth)

Where should you invest as a McKinney-Frisco resident with a $149,000 nest egg? Thanks to a change in the legal code, there's a new investment McKinney-Frisco residents need to know about. In fact, Bloomberg asked experts where they'd invest $100,000 right now and many of them chose it.

This may surprise you, but it's fine art.

Growing your nest egg with art isn't new. Wealthy families like the Rockefellers have done it for centuries.

Here's why:

  • Low correlation to stocks according to Citi
  • Contemporary art historically returns 23.2% when inflation is >3%
  • Contemporary art prices outpaced the S&P 500 by 164% (1995-2021)

Translation: Art could be one of the best investments for uncertain times.

Luckily for you, we found Masterworks. This revolutionary platform lets you invest in art by Warhol, Monet, Picasso without spending millions.

The best part? Anyone from your area can skip their waitlist*.
