(March 22, 2021) The city has been made aware of planned overnight closures of Preston Rd that will take place March 23 - April 3 (weather permitting) as part of the ongoing Sam Rayburn Tollway (SRT) Fourth Lane Project.

March 23 - April 3 (10 p.m. to 5 a.m.)*

- All lanes of north - and southbound Preston Rd. between east - and westbound SH 121
- All lanes of the north - and southbound Preston Rd. flyover bridge
- Preston Rd. U-turn lanes
Detours:
- Northbound Preston Rd. detour: Turn right onto SH 121 and make a U-turn at Hillcrest Rd./Rasor Blvd. Continue east to Preston Rd. and turn right.
- Southbound Preston Rd. detour: Turn right onto SH 121 and make a U-turn at Parkwood Blvd. Continue east to Preston Rd. and turn right.
*Note: Closures will not take place on Friday or Saturday nights.

This project includes adding a fourth lane in each direction from US 75 to south of Denton Tap Rd.
All closures are subject to weather conditions and will be postponed, if necessary. Drivers are urged to use caution in the construction area.
