- The City of Frisco released its most recent roadwork roundup of projects that may impact traffic this coming week. Notably, the Legacy Drive Widening Project is beginning its first phase. - Arizona-based Barro’s Pizza opened earlier this month in McKinney along the Central Expressway. Amenities at the restaurant include TVs, a covered patio, a kids' area with toys and games, and an exclusive room for parties. There are future plans to expand the patio to include an outdoor play area for children with artificial grass and a small playground. (Community Impact Newspaper)
- A Frisco girl burst into tears of joy after receiving the Christmas gift of her dreams: a new puppy. Video footage shows seven-year-old Claire Hammer unwrapping her seven-week-old Goldendoodle, Nola Rose. Hammer has reportedly wanted a dog for years and was amazed when her wish finally came true.
