December 4, 2020

(December 4, 2020) Many of the streets within the Frisco Square area will be closed Saturday evening, December 5, 4:30 to 10 p.m., for the sold-out “Dashing Through the Square” drive-thru event. All traffic will use northbound Dallas Pkwy and eastbound Page St. to enter the event so local traffic should use alternate routes to avoid being delayed by event traffic. It will not be possible to drive through the Frisco Square Christmas Light Show Saturday night unless you already have a ticket to “Dashing Through the Square.” In addition, no parking will be allowed in Simpson Plaza during the day leading up to the event.

The details of the street closures are described below.

Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

On Saturday, the streets in Frisco Square will be open to traffic during daylight hours, but the parking spaces will be blocked off in Simpson Square and along Library St. As a result, drivers will not be able to park directly in front of the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center. Library patrons should park in the free parking garage behind the building. ADA accessible parking is available on each level of the garage next to the elevator. Please note that the Public Library will close early at 5 p.m. due to the special event.
