- Students across the country have been arrested for participating in a viral social media "challenge" to threaten violence in their schools, including some in Frisco. On Friday, local police arrested seven middle schoolers for their social media threats. Frisco Police Chief David Shilson issued a message to the community urging students to convey to their classmates that "these threats are not funny or cool," and that "social media challenges that include this type of destructive behavior are not okay." - The Frisco Football Classic is coming to the Toyota Stadium this Thursday, Dec. 23, and college football fans are eager to see if North Texas or Miami (OH) will claim victory. According to Underdog Dynasty, fans should keep an eye on DeAndre Torrey, a senior running back for North Texas who has gone for 1,215 yards and 13 touchdowns this season. The publication describes Torrey as the team's "workhorse," and says this Mean Green running back is good at shaking off tacklers. (Underdog Dynasty)
