  1. On Tuesday, Frisco Police arrested a man who was suspected of fatally shooting another man in a parking garage. The Frisco Police Department and Frisco Fire Department responded to a call from the Lucia Apartments on 4848 Grand Gate Way, where they found 30-year-old Donavan Stephney of Dallas dead of a gunshot wound. The suspect, Kenarri Johnson, 31, of Frisco was still at the scene and arrested early Tuesday morning. (CBS Dallas / Fort Worth)
  2. The Salvation Army of McKinney has opened an overnight warming station to provide temporary shelter to local residents experiencing homelessness. Overnight guests are registered, fed a hot meal, and given a place to stay for the night, according to a Salvation Army informational handout. The Station opened in November at 600 Wilson Creek Parkway and is open between November and March when temperatures are below 36 degrees for more than two days in a row. (Community Impact Newspaper)
  3. Real estate experts believe property inventory will hit a 10-year-high in 2022, which may entice more current homeowners to move. If you're looking to buy in the area, the median sale price for a single-family home in the McKinney-Frisco area was about $450,500 from the beginning of September through the end of November, according to Redfin — 16 percent higher than the median price over the same period last year.
