  1. A home fire sprinkler stopped a kitchen fire from spreading in a Soho Parkway Apartment unit in McKinney on Saturday, Mar. 19. The McKinney Fire Department responded to a report of a water flow alarm at the complex. When firefighters arrived they found that the activated sprinkler successfully extinguished the fire. (North Texas e-News)
  2. Barons Creek Vineyards, a wine tasting lounge, opened its doors on Mar. 3 in downtown McKinney. The Fredericksburg-based winery offers a selection of blends, including red cabernet sauvignons and white Viogniers. The establishment is located at 301 W. Louisiana Street.   3. Pet Supplies Plus of Frisco will spend $600K on new construction at its Coit Road location. The project is scheduled to begin on Jun. 1. Sidecar Social, Osaka Sushi Hibachi and Bar, Scenthound Grooming, and Brinkmann Ranch have also filed new construction and renovation projects with the Texas Department of Licensing.
