Here are the top three stories in McKinney-Frisco today:
- A recent Collin County report shows the latest hospital capacity in the area. Nearly every hospital is at the maximum capacity of the percentage of ICU beds being used, with the lowest percentage being 97%. The numbers are similar for inpatient beds in McKinney and Frisco hospitals as well. (McKinney-Frisco Patch)
- On Tuesday, the Frisco City Council approved a temporary speed limit reduction along US 380. The limit was lowered from 60 mph to 50 mph from the city's western limit from Denton to Collin counties. The change is designed to manage the traffic as the Department of Transportation works to widen the highway. (Community Impact Newspaper)
- McKinney City Council recently approved the resolution for a new street sign topper program. This initiative will promote neighborhood identity and pride within the city. Neighborhoods can apply by sending in an app application fee of $150 and a sample of the proposed sign topper. (Community Impact Newspaper)
