- Frisco real estate broker Jennifer Leigh "Jenna" Ryan has been released from federal prison after serving 60 days for her involvement in the Capitol Riot on Jan. 6, 2021. Ryan had entered a virtual guilty plea in 2021 before a Washington, D.C., judge for a misdemeanor charge of knowingly parading, demonstrating, and picketing inside the Capitol. She was held at Camp Bryan, a minimum-security women's prison in Brazos County. (Spectrum News)
- Upscale restaurants will soon be popping up in the mixed-use District 121 development in McKinney. (Star Local Media)
- The McKinney High School Jazz Ensemble is inviting everyone in the community to its first-ever swing dance. "The Lion Swing" will be held on Saturday, Apr. 2, 2022, in the high school cafeteria, located at 1400 Wilson Creek Pkwy. For their $15 pre-purchased ticket ($20 at the door) attendees will enjoy refreshments, dancing, and live music from the MHS Mane Attraction Jazz Ensemble and the McKinney Dance Band, with several guest vocalists. There will also be a silent auction at the event to benefit the McKinney High School Band Booster Club. (Star Local Media)
