Here are the top stories in McKinney-Frisco today:

  1. A group of North Texas teenagers is hosting the first Annual Strike Out Pediatric Leukemia Charity Baseball Game at Riders Park in Frisco. The teens were inspired to "step up to the plate" on a mission bigger than themselves after watching loved ones suffer from the disease. The event is currently set to take place on Apr. 24, and all proceeds are going to Leukemia Texas. (CBS News)
  2. Russo’s New York Pizzeria just announced that it will be opening its second North Texas location in Frisco. The Houston-based, fast-casual restaurant will be opening near Main Street Village later this year and will be able to seat about 25 diners at a time. The addition of this Frisco location will make 50 total Russo's New York Pizzerias around the country. (The Dallas Morning News)
  3. Protein-focused, Dallas-based restaurant, Fork & Fire is coming to McKinney's Hub 121. The establishment will bring another nice, date-night option to the area with dishes that owner Jason Graman describes as "minimalist." Fork & Fire will sport a large outdoor patio area and is set to open in late summer. (Community Impact Newspaper)
