All-Abilities Playground
The playground was designed for children of all ages, abilities and needs. This playground is a joint effort between the city and the Rotary clubs of McKinney

Lightning Detector
We have installed a lightning strike detector at Bonnie Wenk Park. The detector has its own weather station and a public address system. A siren sounds if there is lightning in the area. The detector refreshes every five minutes to let people know if the area is clear or has lightening.
